Buying Wen

Biography:
Buying Wen was born in Yongtai, Fujian Province, in 1967. He received B.E. degree in power system and automation from Fuzhou University in 1991. From February 2001 to December 2001, he was a visiting scholar in Shanghai Jiaotong University. He received Ph.D. degree in Fuzhou University and Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2006.
He is an expert in the expert database of State Grid Corporation of China, and expert in the expert database of Energy Supervision Bureau in National Development and Reform Commission. He is currently the Vice Chair of Power System Committee in Fujian Society for Electrical Engineering, and the Executive Director of Fujian Electric Power Consulting Association.
His current research interests include optimal operation of power systems, power market, and wind power integration. In these areas, he has directed and completed 3 Natural Science Foundation Projects of Fujian Province, and 50 technological development projects of power enterprise. His projects were awarded several prizes, including: two Second Prize and two Third Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Fujian Electric Power Company, and one XueMuqiao Award of the National Development and Reform Commission.
