The Center was established in 2015 with approval of Science and Technology Agency of Fujian Province. The Center is mainly about the frontiers development and application requirements, based on School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Fuzhou University, Electrical Engineering Research Institute and Electrical Engineering Special Key Discipline of Fujian Province with the features of Electrical Engineering Electromagnetic basis and applications, combined with electric power devices, power systems, and power conversions. The Center focuses on the application basis research and technology developments in high-frequency power magnetic components technology, power testing and intelligent electrical apparatus, power distribution network devices and power quality monitor and control. The Center has a strong technical force and abundant research facilities. There are 9 professors, 13 associated professors, and 16 of them have Ph.D. There is a testing system including electric power dynamic simulation system, electric power simulation software, testing lab for electrical apparatus, high frequency small-signal testing system, high frequency high power testing system, conduction EMI test system, electromagnetic near field test system and electromagnetic field simulation software. The Center has established a deeper and more extensive partnership with famous industries, including Fujian Electric Power Company, Huawei Technology, Xiamen Hongfa Electroacoustic, Qingdao Yulu New Technolgy, Korea LG Electronics, Emerson Networking, Delta Electronics, Eaton Electrical, Omron, Schaffner, and has many development projects with them.
