Chen Wei, male, born in 1958 in Fujian Fuzhou，China.，Professor, PhD advisor. He got engineering PhD in 1990 in Fuzhou University. He worked as senior research visitor in CPES (Center for Power Electronics System) in Virginia Tech inUSAduring 1996to 1998. He is now the director of Engineering Technology Research Center for Intelligent Electrical Apparatus of Fujian Province and the director of Industry Technology Development Base for Electrical Apparatus of Fujian Province. He is also the Standing Committee member of CPSS (China Power Supply Society), Chairman of Magnetics Technology Specialty of CPSS and the Convener of China specialists for IEC/TC 51 WG9.
Dr. Chen Wei’s research interests include in Power Electronics, High-frequency Power magnetic components, EMI of Power conversion, Electromagnetic testing, Electromagnetic field analysis and applications, Electrical Apparatus and Wireless power conversion, etc.
Dr. Chen Wei have undertook 3 projects of NSFC (Natural Science Foundation of China) and 6 projects of Natural Science Foundation of Fujian Province and more than 20 technology development projects and near 3 million RMB budgets from the famous industries domestic and abroad, including Huawai, Eaton, Omron, LG, Delta, POCO, etc. He have published more than 60 research papers and got 20 patents in domestic andUSA. The Master students under his supervision have awarded the first and second prizes in National Electric Design Contest of Master students ofChina.
